Add me too. Didn't watch it on TCM, because me and the boy already did. Ol' Lawrence is his favorite as well.

Love the Wolfman; however, when I look at Chaney and Claude Raines together, I get this notion that Mrs. Talbot might have been foolin' around.

Brilliant movie. Lon Jr is terrific in it.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, all-American Lon doesn't seem like he could belong to proper British Claude. But then again, Rains is the only "English" guy in this movie, and it's set in Wales!!!

Chaney does such a great job with the pathos, who cares though!

Yeah, Chaney as a Welsh noble doesn't work but it's completely forgotten thanks to an excellent performance.

You can argue Lee vs Lugosi all day but the Wolfman is Chaney's and even Del Toro didn't come close.

I like the Wolfman but I never thought he was scary -- not even as a young kid

He's about as scary as Universal's mummy

Reed came closest, even though he's not the same character. Even though some of the later Universal movies were a bit lacking, the Wolfman storyline throughout was pretty intriguing, thanks to Chaney making us care for poor Talbot.

Well, he scared the crap out of me, but I was a sensitive kid.

My favorite of the Universal's. Chaney brings so much sympathy to the character with just his facial expressions.
