MUMMY, 1980 Remco Monster Action Figure MOC, Glow #1

This vintage, unopened, monster action figure -- THE MUMMY -- was part of a series of Remco toys released during the early 1980s. The figure comes still sealed inside its original blister bubble -- attached to the original cardboard display card. These toys were based on Universal Studios' most famous horror creations. The toy was inspired by the classic 1932 Universal horror film, THE MUMMY. The figure was part of a set of six different Universal monsters. The Mummy is, by far, the scarcest figure in the series. Each figure in the series came in both Glow-in-the-Dark and Non-Glow-in-the-Dark versions. This figure is the Glow-in-the-Dark variation. The posable figure stands approximately 4 inches tall -- and it has jointed arms, legs and head. The toy was made in Hong Kong for Remco Toys. It is copyrighted 1980, by Universal City Studios. The display card measures approximately 5.75x8.25 inches. The Glow-in-the-Dark display card came in two variations. One has a glowing green/yellow fire surrounding the blister bubble -- the other does not. This version does not have the glowing green/yellow fire surrounding the blister bubble. The card is nicely decorated -- with a great close-up illustration of the famous movie monster. The other six figures from the series are pictured on the back of the card. The display card has a store price sticker near the top-center, plus the slightest hint of wear inside the peg-hole -- but these flaws are extremely minor. Otherwise, the display card is clean and bright -- basically like new. The blister bubble is crisp and clean -- it has NOT yellowed, and there are no cracks, dents, or other flaws. Overall, the original packaging is in near mint condition -- you'll have a difficult time finding a much better example. The toy itself has never been out of the package, and it is crisp, clean and in unused condition.

Here is a rare chance to grab all six of the Remco Mini Monsters in one lot. These are all on cards. All but the Mummy are the "Third Run" of the series. The Mummy is the "Second Run" The figures are all from the glow series. Each figure is still on the card. The Mummy does have some slight residue from a price tag and some minor warping. The glue on the left side has come loose on the Mummy's blister pack. The proof of purchase on the Mummy is Frankenstein due to a factory error. The Mummy figure is still very displayable and in nice condition. I wanted to make sure to give an accurate description of the item. The remainder of the figures have the correct proof of purchase.

EXCELLENT condition!
Paint on head is excellent, no significant wear to hands or feet, costume is excellent with no fraying, snap on jacket is intact, cuffs to hold cape to arms are intact. Left boot is split along top seam.

Box has some light wear but is overall also EXCELLENT. Very light wear to edges and corners, overall bright and crisp, complete with cardboard insert and glow-in-the-dark skull and crossbones ring. Missing iron-on patch.
