Thread: Evil Knievel Warehouse Finds??????

  1. #11
Wow! Carded figures are selling for as little as $10.00 each. A bunch of completed auctions in the $15.00-$20.00 range.

How long has this been going on?!?

    Just won an unpunched carded figure/racing set for $14.05 + $6.00 S&H.

it's been going on for a while, i remember seeing the full cases or lots of 4 for the last few months...they started out super high and since they've been flooding the market they've dropped in prices nasty

which is good for those who waited

I have a few of these sets. They're really great, except the metal parts on the inside are made of plastic and strip w/ extended play, rendering it useless. One of my bikes sit in my closet, sad and broken.

The original molds were used to remake the Stunt Cycle and the Knievel figures themselves (unlike the Playing Mantis ones) are almost identical to the originals.

I remember them gears being a really soft, cheap plastic too. Ironicly, it's the same soft, cheap plastic they make the mechanisms for ATMs out of now. And they wear out just as quickly.

I wonder if it'd be possible to mill up some steel ones?

Prices are kind of going back up on some of these sets. Well, I'll have to sit on this and watch for some good buys.
