    New Hellraiser

Doesn't say much for the film if it hits VOD before it's theatrical does it?

Not the same to me looking at pinhead and not seeing Douglas Bradley.

Not that the last half dozen Hellraisers have been anything close to entertaining.

Well! That trailer was pretty lousy, huh? Pretty much gave away the entire story, the actors showed as much range as a Daisy air rifle, and I have absolutely no interest if any of the characters survive Pinhead's machinations.

Somewhere, out there, Clive Barker collects a royalty check for the use of his concepts and characters, thankful he has nothing else to do with the franchise. Meanwhile, Doug Bradley has a nice breakfast, goes outside, and has a nice day, secure in the knowledge that he's not tied in any way, shape or form to this cinematic mess.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

I'm still waiting until they make it into a comedy, with Jim Carrey as Pinhead...
    Ace Ventura, Hell's Detective...

You know... I somewhat enjoyed the first Hellraiser.

When it became about Pinhead, not so much.

Just kneel. It's easier that way.

    1. Hellraiser

    4. Bloodline

And coming your way in 2013, the Hellraiser reboot/remake, now with more Clive Barker!

I liked 'em through the 4th movie - though most seem to only like 1 & 2 - and quit watching after the 6th.

Only the first one, Maybe the second one if the mythology of the cenobite hell interests you. Or the forth one if you absolutely have an obsession like I do with watching horror franchises jump the shark by going off into Outer Space.

Poor poor lance Henrikson somehow stumbled into one of the latter ones, but I'll refrain from asking him for the cost of the rental back when I attend his screening of Near Dark this week.

A couple of the later ones weren't too bad as a movie, even though their link to the original concept was loose, at best.
Like they had a decent story, not a Hellraiser tale, and they just merged them together to fit into the franchise.
The Henrikson one was pretty bad, though...
