    If someone pays $3000 for a carded mego that can be had loose for $50 inst that for money and value, if its just for love of the item or you had the mego as a boy wouldnt having a loose one (like you did when you were young) and were able to play with it be what you needed.

    Mego figures, whether carded or loose, are collectible because of their age and their nostalgia value. Memorabilia made to cash in on the death of a guy nobody had heard of five years ago is only collectible because people expect it to rise in value. When his death stops being discussed, the prices on his "memorial" merchandise will bottom out.
