If someone were to get the license for Beneath POTA (which might be cheaper than POTA) they could get all the characters from the original film and URSUS.

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
A Caesar / James Franco guy set?
I think at this point it's a mistake to not make a new Caesar or the Roddy one.
well with dc retro cancelled and the new apes movie a hit,i can see emce reentering the POTAs line.i would love an URKO/URSUS.Maybe someone can ask Paul?
The truth about POTA is this - Fox gave Diamond the POTA license in 2008.
When submitting, we find out the license was only for the 1968 movie.
Diamond was annoyed, decided to only release 4 main apes and see
how sales looked. Retailer interest was very low and the line was
dropped.
I own the tooling and would love to make new POTA - but it has to
be financially prudent. I have lost enough money on those damned
dirty apes.
So I'd assume that Diamond no longer has the Apes license? That is a shame. It appears that they don't have any of the four apes in stock any more themselves.

It was a pleasant surprise to hear that the other two Night of the Living Dead figures were finally coming out for example, but I guess it's a different situation when you actually own the NotLD license.
Have you ever considered approaching a foreign license holder to partner with any of your product? Medicom springs to mind... Particularly since Mego apes were sold in Japan and they could be considered a retro property there.
