The Ultimate Planet of the Apes playset

My buddy used to have this, i hated bringing it to toyshows. I've never seen one boxed.

Coleco did a lot of these kinds of toys, higher price riding toys etc.

coleco did Rambo in the 80's but that thing is amazing ..I love it

I did not enjoy gingerly lugging it to local toy shows in the 1990s, although if I recall correctly I got inside it once at a particularly dull show in a high school gym.

When I first saw this subject heading, I thought you were referring to the PLANET OF THE APES TREEHOUSE GIFT SET.......LOL! Yes, this Coleco piece is really cool. I believe this exact set was up on the auction not too long ago with a buy it now, but didn't sell. Pretty rare set. I do have one of these sets. It stays in the box though. Maybe sometime I'll put it together and post a picture.

I have a pic of this in my old Montgomery Wards (1974) catalog. And didn't that guy (I think his user name was ditcin) have this in his mile long thread about how he made his own playsets, and got to hob-nob w/ Mego execs and got costumes and this playset?
