I hope the History Channel will air that special about him again. I agree with what he said about Robbie in it. Maybe now that this has happened Robbie will hang it up.

Very Sad to hear.....are they sure he's gone ??? Will he not suddenly get to his feet to rapuous applause after minutes of tense postulating by some commentater...i'd certainly like to think so.

My first lunch box was Evel Knievel... Besides MEGOS EK toys were probably the most influential and played with toys at my house growing up. Love him or hate him, he was one of those rare individuals that became a legend in his own time (and mind). Cocky, arrogant, downright crazy all that for sure, but one heck of guy any way you slice it... I am really kinda sad, and even though this was coming for years it's still unsettling.

Funny story:The first day I met my wife I had an Evel Knievel figure in the inside pocket of my top coat. I was starting a rotation at the Vice President's office in DC, and little EK was my reminder to myself to be be brave... She thought it was quite cute.

    Rest in peace Dare Devil...

33 bones and a million hearts...

Yep, I wanted to post yesterday but was too busy. Obviously one of my childhood icons. He'd been in bad health for years, so you knew it was coming sooner than later, but still very sad. A major part of 70's pop culture has left us.

Evel was one of a kind.........

If anyone seen extensive interviews with him, they'd know he'd be tickled pink and have a laugh even at this thread

The guy was one of a kind to say the least.

    Evel Knievel dies at 69

I was really bummed to hear that Evel passed away last night. His motorcycle is still one of my childhood highlights. he will definatly be missed.
    RIP

    For the love of Mego's
