Great find today at local toystore!

I picked up a vintage loose Takatoku Dangororin from the Time Bokan series that ran from 10/4/75 - 12/25/76. It's in minty condition and chock full o' diecast.

I am curious, what kind of local toy store is it? If you found something like that from the 70's still sitting on the shelf or is it more of a collector's type toy shop?

It's a vintage collectible toy store in Anaheim. They have a decent selection of both carded & loose Megos in 8 & 12 inch scale. Some representatives from WGSH, Star Trek, POTA, Mad Monsters, Our Gang, Waltons, Action Jackson, Dukes of Hazzard (w/ 3 3/4" scale Gen. Lee), Flash Gordon, Happy Days, KISS, WOZ, Robin Hood, Wild West, Boxed Black Hole and Buck Rogers. There's a loose Magnetic Batman and some nice SMDM stuff. They even have the loose re-issues of the red-hair Drac and Blue-hair Franky. Nice vintage GI Joe's; both scales. Some MMM pieces. Welcome Back Kotter pieces. I think I remember seeing some large scale Remco Monters. They also have some nice Japanese Diecast pieces, including a boxed Ark/Mego Kong for under $100. There are a bunch of other nice items that would appeal to most toy collectors.

When I was there yesterday, the owner was being interviewed by Frank Donadee, the Mentor of the Collector Network, publisher of Collector magazine and author of "Wonders of the World"

There are still a few of these Brick and Mortar jewels left in sunny So. Cal.

Don't think so, but give 'em a call. The owner, Kelly, is as nice as they come.
