My first mego meet There and back again

http://s1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff419/madmarva/megomeet%202011/"]Here's a link to my photo bucket album of Mego Meet photos

It was a long crazy trip for me to Mego Meet, but it was worth it. Got to meet some great people, see some crazy cool stuff and generally have a great time.

Check out the photo album for some shots of some really cool things, including customs from John Farley, Random Axe, Austin, Brian Leitner, Mego Spidey, Black Knight, Laser Mego and others.

Oh, and Doc Mego has the coolest silver suitcase in the universe.

Love the Castaway figures, too. Can't wait to add their Buck Rogers to the collection.

On the way back from the meet, I stopped off in Nashville to visit a buddy and his family. I gave his two boys (ages 5 and 3) 4 retro-mattel superheroes and it was a kick to watch them play with the figures. Within the first hour, Luthor was wearing Superman's suit and vice versa. That really took me back and showed just how fun megos are.

I am going to be kicking myself for a while for not buying that big Superman statue.

My problem was getting it home... I wasn't sure if it would fit in a Miata. If I go next year, I'm bringing a bigger car.
