Pick Up Joint : The Playset

This disco playset probably looked a whole heck of a lot more innocent back in the day, now the guy figure looks a lot like Eric Roberts in "Star 80". I cut it off but you can see his "Mid life crisis mobile" which was sold separately.
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends.

That female doll just looks so out of place there.

It looks like a Sears Exclusive. I have a Mission Control/Recording Studio playset for Barbies and GIJoes w/ a AM radio and a mike that was also a Sears Exclusive.

sears would get a Hong Kong manufactuer to make sets for them , Just like Monkey ward and JC Penny did and still do. there is no real "toy company" its something like "British Crown Colony Plastics concren". You got the cash the'll make anything for you.
This would help keep price down as selling point ,since they do no that to share profit with a name brand toy like Matel an there barbie brand.

Ahh, our hip young "fashion doll" is none other than Mattel's "The Now Look" Ken doll, notable for his accessory of a sheet of felt-like stickers that you could put on his face to give him sideburns or mustaches. Yup, that's a "Now Look" if I ever saw one.

Just type in disco in the toy section and check the description box. Surely there isn't that many disco items in the toys.

The dolls are both from 1976. The Ken is indeed a Now Look Ken as lady Zod pointed out. The Barbie is a Deluxe Quick Curl Barbie.

If there's anything I've learned about eBay searches, use the words printed on the item itself. I'd look for doll discoteque, myself. I agree that there shouldn't be too many possibilities, at least not those that you cannot eliminate.
