I don't remember the soda at all, but I always liked the commercials they had for the gum that were western-themed, with Don Collier doing basically a John Wayne impression and Dub Taylor as his sidekick.

It tasted like someone spit gum juice into water. I remember this in the late 80s, or at the latest 1990, because I lived in Virginia when I had it, and when we moved, in 1990 I do not remember having or seeing it after that.
