Question Who is Irwin and why are they making AJ!?

    Hello everyone,

I am just curious to know why some AJ item's are made by Irwin. Did Mego run out of ideas? Should I even bother collecting AJ stuff that is made by them? Does anyone have any info on it?
    any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

I'm not an Irwin man but I always believed Mego made a deal with them because they specialized in cheap plastic vehicles to begin with.

Irwin was known for making vehicles for other toy lines. They made cars for Barbie, I know, thanks to my wife. I think they may have made some 12" Joe stuff as well.

Yeah, Irwin made the Navy Panther Jet for GI JOE that I always thought was kind of cool.

They were licensed Action Jackson products, and had the MEGO and IRWIN names on the packaging, so whether you collect them is up to you, but if you are trying to build a complete collection, most AJ collectors would likely consider them part of that collection.

You should "bother collecting" anything that you want to. You shouldn't need to ask for approval from others.
