Man, I wish I had one of those. That's is way cool!

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
True story: My neighbor next door, Mr. Fryman, repaired bicycles on the side. At some point, someone traded this Evel chopper in for some of his merchandise. One day I'm playing around and my parents and Mr. Fryman are talking, and they ask me to come over. They tell me that Mr. Fryman is going to GIVE me this Evel Kneivel chopper!!! I was insanely stoked! I was probably 8 or 9 at the time. I really don't know why he just gave it to me. I guess because it was just taking up space, and they liked me!
That thing was awesome for coming down the sidewalk, and spinning into the driveway. Essentially a Big Wheel/Bicycle mash-up. Me and my friends rode the heck out of that thing that summer. Of course it doubled as Captain America's ride as well.
Now here's the sad part (there's always a sad part to these stories). I'm called in for supper one summer evening, and I leave my so called "friend" outside with Evel's ride. When I come back out, he's long gone. A few minutes later I notice the Evel Speedster at the bottom of the hill behind our house. The plastic back wheels are cracked all to hell. Obviously, my "friend" decided to take it down the rough, grassy hill, full of thick weeds and recently cut tree stumps. There was no saving it, since no other wheels existed that would fit this thing. And since this was 1983, you weren't going to find one still sitting on the shelf at Howard's.
But thanks for posting this Brian. I was starting to wonder if I'd dreamed this thing up!!!
