Mattel made a nice Bewitched Barbie, and a really cool Munsters set (Barbie as Herman, Barbie as Lilly) a few years back. They also made the Addams Family.

Exclusive Premieres made Gilligan, the Skipper, and the Professor in the '90s and sold them in hemi-cylindrical packages. Due to poor sales, and a lawsuit by the heirs of Jackie Gleason, the company went bankrupt pretty quickly.

The only previous figures from Gilligan's Island were highly stylized ones included with a pre-school floating island bathtub toy.

Mattel did a number of television and movie related characters in their pop culture lines the last decade or so, just to clarify:

Star Trek Lt. Barbie & Captain Ken
X-Files Barbie & Ken as Mulder & Scully
Addams Family Barbie & Ken as Gomez & Morticia
Munsters Barbie & Ken as Lily & Herman
That Girl Barbie as Ann Marie
              Bewitched Barbie as Samantha
I Dream of Jeannie Barbie as Jeannie
LOTR Barbie & Ken as Arwen, Aragon, Legolas, Galadriel.

There's also Gone with the Wind (several Scarletts), King Kong (Fay Wray), My Fair Lady (several Elizas), with various Barbie heads painted to resemble the actors & actresses (hence the "Barbie/Ken as").

Plus, using realistic sculpts of the actors, there's also Marilyn Monroe (Happy B-Day JFK,etc) , Liz Taylor (Cleopatra & others), Susan Lucci (Erica Kane from soap AMC), Dierdre Hall (Marlena Evans from soap DOOL), Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany's), and Vivian Leigh (Scarlett again), Lucille Ball (several I Love Lucys, including 2 gift sets--one with a Desi Arnaz Ricky, the latest with a Vivian Vance Ethel Mertz).

And that's just off the top of my head! I'm sure I've forgotten a few. Mattel's done a lot of nostalgia marketing towards the boomer pop culture collectors.

Anyway, guess we'd better be getting back to Megos now, eh?
