You're a talented sculptor already, Jessica.
Why don't you just sculpt the heads from scratch?

I wanted to see how far I can take this guy with what I already know. When I look at his eyes I can see Cornelius already.

Where is this more highly evolved Cornelius? I'd love to see it. Any pics, Jessica?

Okay, I see, it's in progress. I think you are definitely on the right track. I love the Zica Buck Rogers (and am getting him in the mail soon), but from everything I've seen so far, even though he does look like Gil Gerard, the face is a bit narrow.

Oh, I see, he's still a work in progress. Looks great so far.

A BIT narrow??!! I was about to ask if the image was squished somehow. Is that what they all look like, with elongated heads like that?

I think that's the way it was sculpted.

The sculpts did seem kinda long in the prototype stage, but it seems even more elongated in vinyl. I like Alfred Paredes work (I know he didn't do the Buck sculpt) so I take it the vinyl must have warped from the original quite a bit.

Yes, the production heads did have issues with being elongated. I noticed this early on in the prototype stage but the factory was never able to completely correct the problem. Here's a picture of the 1/6 scale prototype heads which shows what the correct shape should be.

Sorry, not to hijack or anything, but is there any chance to have this issue corrected by the time Hawk, etc come out if even just for their release?

I think Hawk would have an extremely elongated face, because it's already started out as narrow anyway, if this issue is not fixed. Not that it looks bad now, but add a little warp and it will noticeable.

The Hawk head actually looks pretty good. The figure that's been shown in the promo pics is basically the production version with the exception of some changes that have been made to the clothing.
