    Creepy! Gruesome! Awesome.

PS reader Robb sent in these awesome pictures from his collection to add to the AHI World Famous Supermonsters section of the site. These are the slightly smaller versions of the monster jigglers on their original cards which Robb has owned since childhood, absolutely stunning.

Not many kids saved their toys, let alone rack toys and kept this in this kind of condition. Many thanks to Robb for sharing with everybody these awesome childhood treasures.

Wal-Mart had a set of very old-school-like jigglers a few years back, so they resurface from time to time.

Those are just awesome. They scream "HALLOWEEN!" to me. I can almost smell Ben Franklin's....

Love the card art work. I can just imagine staring at one in a store, trying to come up with an irrefutable reason why my mom had to buy me one.

And, BTW, I think the "awesome" is redundant when placed after "creepy" and "gruesome."

I was thinking the same thing, but I guess that would be a selling point. Something that creepy and gruesome might be misinterpreted as toxic if it wasn't announced.

It wasn't until recently that I learned that any jiggler was carded. I don't think I ever saw one that wasn't loose in a bin/box at the old Kresgees in the 70s.
                        It's all good!

Walmart does actually have a small section of rubber figures, mostly snakes, animals and so on. I do not recall walmart releasing any of the monsters though. Do you have any photos? Also the new jigglers ( if any can be found ) are crap, filled with some sort of plastic beads, the figures fall apart very quickly, my son has a walmart dragon, it lasted a month. And I have many jigglers from the 60's & 70's that still look new and yes my son plays with them.

Always warms my heart when I read about members letting their children play with their old-school toys.
