Mego and you - this year/next year.

This year is drawing quickly to a close.
What have been your Mego highlights this year so far?
    And,
What are you looking forward to next year?

    Highlights for me have been..
    The trading cards,
Completing three lines by getting a complete Commander Koenig, a carded Palitoy Starsky and completing my UK Fist Fighters, some great Ebay bargains and of course the `Museum`.

Not much on the horizon as I type this with the exception of wanting a cuffed maroon soldier ape. Otherwise i'll just see what comes my way.

Quick edit. I forgot I need a loose Romulan as well - maybe 2008 will be my year.

Main highlights are Ben's book (only a few more weeks ) and Scott's Dida Displaysets... two major events in the Mego universe.
Personally, I was very happy getting a silkscreened Batgirl and Catwoman and a yellow sleeved RM Robin (repro head and mask, but I switched the outfit with my original RM Robin ).
Next year I hope to be doing less work in the house and more on customs, cause the last couple of months I didn't do much in that department

The cards for me. I didn't get too much this year. A Thing and a repro Klingon. Working on a Tarzan right now. Next year looks to be fun with EMCE and Castaway getting into new stuff. I would like to get a Riddler and Iron Man in the coming year, too.

I actually have a list of wants so I know when to stop (or slow down) with my collecting so I won't list it all up.
This year I have gone from having a couple of filthy star trek doll's and couple of heroes to actually having a rather large collection, last year was REAL bad for Mego because I was collecting other lines, this year was crazy, got my first carded and boxed item's this year, including Lost Continent playset (how many times have I mentioned it now?) and enough boxed vintage Star Wars stuff to crush a small child.
Next year though, I want to go all out with Big Jim, Dinah Mite, finish my AJ collection and then focus on thing's like WGSH, Remco, Mattel and other miscellaneous stuff.

I guess my highlight was upgrading my Secret Identity Peter Parker.

I'm always looking for anything vintage spiderman (Mego, toys, comics, etc.), so I'll be on the hunt again this next year.

It's been somewhat of a banner year for me, I've completed sets I never expected to complete, gotten great deals, managed to track down some interesting Mego folks and basically, found the Mego grail I've been searching 20 years for. Yeah, not bad.

Ben's book is a nice way to cap off a great year.

As for 2008, no real big plans or goals at all.

    Great thread, Paul.

    Here's my highlights:

    Completing my UK Fist-Fighters.

Completing my variant Soldier Ape Collection.

    Starting a Ledy WGSH collection.

Scoring really decent hidden finds like: Large S Superman, AHI Male Creature, Maroon Cuffed Ursus and Aussie Eyeball Variant Wonder Woman.

Meeting a new friend who helped me score a complete set of Cipsa Planet of the Apes.

Upgrading my camera, so I can show the truest beauty of Mego.

Helping people get some of items they really needed.

2008 is wide open I guess. This was a really good year, so I can only hope next year will be similar.

Oh yeah, and I really want Ledy Fist-Fighters. If one could happen next year, that would probably hold me for a while.

I've found a couple of great deals. Made my own customs with the help of my brother. I'm just expecting to finifsh the next one by this week. Nothing much for next year except for more customs.
