    Judas Priest-K.K Downing has retired

The Judas Priest days are very limited.

Let's face it. All of our rockers are getting up there in age. Nowhere is that more apparent than when I watch That Metal Show. The guest guitarists are always wearing hair styles too long for the thinning hair they have on top. The guests, like David Coverdale and Lita Ford are dressing younger than they can get away with now. It's kinda sad, but it's also an unavoidable direction in Life. Guitarists retiring only makes sense at this point. A long tour is probably a very grueling thing for guys in their 50's.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

Downing is almost 60. I wonder if we'll all still be debating oven mitts vs. gauntlets when we're that old.

I'm just surprised he didn't wait until the tour was over.
