    RIP: Sideshow Universal Monsters

Was told the other night that Sideshow has removed all Uni Monster product off their site and their relationship is at an end.

The output that was created from this long running relationship is a fan's dream, is there a site that catalogs it all?

Was there a rift or just the end of the contract? They certainly put out some product.

Seems like the end of a contract, diamond has taken over.

I loved their 8 inch and 12 inch lines.
I have all 8 inch figures, and a handful of the 12 inches. Some of these are really hard to come by these days.
Let's hope Diamond steps up to the plate...

Their license probably expired and that's why. I can't imagine why there would be a riff after all this time and with no major product out right now. Sideshow did a great job. I am eternally grateful for the work they put into this license. Well worth the money I invested.

Whatever is unsold at the expiration of a contract is either destroyed or given away. I give my stuff to children's hospitals.

If Sideshow could give me their Creature from the Black Lagoon, I'd be eternally grateful...

Man, what a run they had, during the over 10 years that they had the license, they produced some great figures. I never managed to get everything (damn you, elusive 12" Creech!) but I have a bunch of the 12" figures and a few 8" ones and think they are great. The end of an era.

some nice product. I recently picked up a SS and diamond creech that were both approx 1:9 scale. I have to say, I liked the SS version better.

I have a big soft spot for the 12" line as this was my introduction to SS items and the prices were good back then.

I think my faves are the Nosferatu silver screen and the creech.

I have some of their 12" stuff and they're beautiful. I hope Diamond can do what Sideshow has done for so many years

                            Ditto!

Loved the early stuff that was cheaper and articulated - never got into the PFs or the dioramas, though they looked beautiful. But this line was definitely one of the greats.

I loved the 8 in. line they had....I don't have the room for the 12 inchers...LOL! Great stuff.
Is Diamond producing the figures that are available at Toys R US (I think they're around 6 inches tall or something)? I bought the Wolfman, Creature and Mummy....They're good, but not as good as the Sideshow Toys figures.
