    Plaid Stallions UFO Commander Series

I'm guessing this picture might solve a lot of mysteries for folks here. Released in 1976, these wonderful diecast spaceships were readily available when Star Wars hit theatres.

As a kid, I had the Jeek Tunnelin vehicle, still have it here in the office. I knew even at 8 that this was some funky toy from Asia and wanted to know more about it. It doubled as the Argo when I played "Starblazers" in the back yard, good times...

I'm with you on this one! I had a Valcan as a kid I was sure was some kind of knockoff Shogun warrior. I seem to remember picking it up at a church bazaar and went looking all over to find one in a box.

    Hmmmm....

This is one of my favouritest toys ever! They came with little comics that explained the story.

Incredible... I distinctly remember that a friend of mine had Blue Silver! This is the first time I've seen that toy in over 30 years. Cool!

Loose, no. Boxed and/or with comic, kinda. You can find sealed examples; mostly of the Japanese release, fairly easy but they tend to be expensive. ($100-$200) Loose ones can be had for $10-$20; more if they have the missiles and treads. I got mine for cheap, still need a couple though. There are some variants too: Dozer Bucketer is blue with orange arms on the shovel, but there are a lot of all blue ones out there. (I THINK they're a British variant.) There are pictures of green ones on some of the boxes; but I think those might be the result of off lighting when the pics were taken, as I've never actually seen a green one.

Wow, I forgot all about those. I had that "Blue Silver" flying saucer (loved the flip up missile launchers) and remember seeing some of the others in stores. Great pic!

I think I had Brain-3. There's a Blue Silver is on eBay now I think.

These are pretty cool. These would make good companion pieces to the Space Robot UFO Series toys.
