I had that exact same toy & it's always been a very fond childhood memory. I totally love the graphics on the box... very cool!

Beautiful set. The cobra looks like Alice the Goon.

I never got into collecting the 12" Joes, but I have friends that do. I do happen to have two original fuzz heads that I played with when I was a kid.

I also remember seeing that cool chopper at Sears every time we went there on the weekends to shop.

Too much space. Need more toys!

I passed on re-collecting GI Joes many years ago due to the high prices but I have picked up a few things here and there when I can get a good deal.
Just picked up a vintage talker that actually works well. Unfortunately the seller conveniently didn't show the HUGE hair rub on the side of the head in his pics. He did mention a "patch" of hair missing but I didn't expect that much gone. Anyone have a nice, cheap, fuzzy-head, bearded, dark hair Joe head for sale? Or a cheap solution to hide it for display purposes? It's bigger than a nickel.
I hear you, i also resisted collecting GI-JOE for a long time for the same reason but then i picked up one at a yeardsale pretty cheap and i now they have taken over my toyroom
I got a Sea Adventure off E-BAY with the same hair problem and i ended up putting him in the eight ropes deepsea outfit the diving helmet hides the hairlose great you can check e-bay for a loose head as he's a common head or have the head reflocked

I'm pretty happy with various (some customized) ATVS and my Sea Wolf, but I really covet a DOTD airboat.

The MSV is so cool, too. But I put its chair in my HQ and that satisfied me.
