If they can prove they can make quality T-2 bodies (like their glow bodies) on a consistent basis, I'd be all for them branching out into other bodies again. They did make more varieties of body than anyone besides Mego to date, just not well.

CTV's figures were priced at $15, but they couldn't sell them
at that price, so they dropped it to $5 thereby undercutting
anyone who bought wholesale from them.

I think that a nice suit and a compliment of repro accessories is surely worth $5, even if their bodies are pretty much rubbish. Hold/manipulate a CTVT body with one hand, and a screw-back Doc body in the other......A blind man with one hand could easily differentiate as far as build quality. Even without expenses like character rights and whatnot, if CTVT used Doc's/ZICA's bodies, the dolls would need to be at least $15....

The undercutting was painful, and they screwed themselves on their parts business by cutting the bulk discount they originally offered me (for purchases over $1000). I was moving a boatload of parts for them until they did that. I didn't lose money on them as a dealer, but I could have made them a lot more.

Ultimately it came down to their impatience (in more ways than I can count), and more so their unwillingness to reject shoddy manufacturing.
