                                I'm pretty sure David Coverdale has all the Whitesnake stuff all marketed/copyrited for personal use and makes sure it doesn't turn up anywhere else.

                                Though naming a super hero "Whitesnake" might be another ball of wax but who knows. I think it has to do with how much money you make off the name "Whitesnake" before you get a letter in the mail from Mr. Coverdale.
