    Enter Hypnos

When creating a follow up to their hit Pulsar doll, Mattel went alien (a popular choice) with Hypnos whose powers involved a good old fashioned hypnotic wheel and a complete lack of pants. Evil and passive aggresive, now that's an arch enemy.

Pulsar is fun, but I don't know a lot about Hypnos. Whoever owned my Pulsar before I did broke his head hinge, so I can't use that. His head is glued shut.

One cool thing about Hypnos is that not only do the things spin in his chest for a kind of kaleidoscopic effect, but when a certain switch is turned on, sparks shoot inside his chest. It's also hard to tell from most pics, but his arms and legs are also translucent.

Are they? I got an 8" one in the works, and that'd be good to know. (In case I can get the transparent plastic to work right....) And is he black, or purple?

            They are ctc.

I love my Hypnos figure but he's a little worn from lots of childhood play.

Are you sure its the wheel he's using to hypnotize you?

Like Brown Bear said, his arms and legs are an extremely dark translucent purple, Don. His mask is black, though. Post pics when you're done--love to see your custom!

I want a Hypnos so bad. I've got plenty of Pulsars, but everytime I get near a Hypnos, he falls right through my fingers.
