I don't think anything I can write here can get across how nice that is. Too cool for words.

Wow! Thanks so much! I didn't take any pics of the museum before i had rushed it out the door but i did take some video. I'll dig up some frame grabs for you. In a span of about 15 years, it went from here in NY to San Francisco to Phoenix then to Australia then back to Phoenix then back here to NY where Billy had it last i saw him. Phew. It clocked more flight time than the spaceship!

Absolutely gorgeous! How do you plan to display it?

I'm in the process of finishing a basement renovation and am looking at how I can make giant shadow box dioramas (as opposed to plain old shelving) in my 12" JoeRoom.

Thanks so much. I'm not sure how Chris plans to display it, but because it's "modular" at the moment it can only be displayed on a flat surface. At least for the time being until it gets from NY to Phili. I might end up making a base for the entire thing to attach to.

That sounds like a fun lighting (and space) challenge.

Was it? I'm losing track. I thought it was John M. in Scottsdale. LOL. You inspired me to dig through my old VHS tapes and find that Museum footage. I haven't seen it since that day wrapping it up in the box it's sitting on. From the date stamp, i was surprised to see it was my 35th birthday at the time so i'm reminded just how old (and forgetful) i am. LOL. Here are some highlights (Click below to see the video):

My house is pretty big so I'm hoping to make a display case for it and place it on a table in the center of a room. Matt's idea of fixing it to a surface sounds perfect.
