    1979 Re: Imagine Project

First of all, I know the 1978 Re: Imagine catalog cost a lot of money to print and I realise Brian probably still has a lot of them left, but hear me out. If there was enough interest to participate and if Anthony or Scott (or someone else) would be interested in designing the pages again, you could create a link here to pdf files with the pages and people could print their own catalog.
Am I overthinking this because I want it too much or is this doable?

How about just an iPad app for it? Or android app for it?

Seriously? For what a sequel? I dunno....seemed like a lot of effort to get the '78 catalog photographed, designed, and produced. It was about 2 1/2 years from original concept to publication, no?

I like to think of it as lightning in a bottle....Plus we hit the majority of the "wish list" so I'm not sure what would be left to make it worthwhile and a worthy sequel. And we've seen a lot of Re-Mego fill that wish list as well.

1978 was successful enough that I'm committing right now to another printed Megomuseum project (potentially projects but I can't talk about it currently) for 2011 launch.

While '78 sold well enough, I wouldn't sink any money into a direct sequel, I have no confidence in that being viable.

That's not to say that we won't embody the spirit of the 1978 concept into something new, we absolutely will but it won't be another mock catalog.

Maybe a sequel isn't the best idea, but I think we as a community had so much fun doing this I wanted to bring back that feeling. You're the man with the plan(s), I trust these projects will be just as fun.

OMG did I just hear the phrase "gloss cardboard printed Brick Mantooth wardrobe closet playset with fold-together wet-bar???"

... Ok I guess I didn't. But still, you know?

                      Any updates?

I've been out of the mego loop for awhile, but like Thomas, would love to see another "what if" mego book
