    CTVT Bodysuits

A question for those who have bought them recently: The last time (a couple years ago) I bought bodysuits ffrom CTVT, I was happy with the fit EXCEPT for the fact the suit's crotch was waaay too low (i.e., below the figure's crotch) giving any figure wearing it a dude-in-old-western-movie-longjohns look -- do they still fit the figures like that, or has CTVT corrected this recently?

    Thanks for the input!

The last body suits I bought were also tight in the crotch. I just cut the feet out so that the crotch can ride higher and land where its supposed to. It isn't a problem as long as your custom is wearing boots.

Thanks for the tip. The last one I did with a CTVT suit was a custom for my son, and since he was playing with it, I didn't want to tear the toes out of the suit. For one of my customs on the shelf . . . should work.

So I just introduced myself in the welcome thread---however I just received a few bodies and I think they are of terrible quality. 2 figures were broken. They seem to be of no comparison to Dr. Mego's.

In terms of the clothes, My pants fit very tight on the figures--which is actually OK in this situation because I am trying to make Bono as The Fly: http://bit.ly/flg2nU

I do think CTVT has some cool clothes, but the bodies and heads seem to be VERY low quality---do you guys have any suggestions?

I'd contact CTVT about your broken items. I haven't had any trouble with items I've ordered from them BUT everything I've read here says CTVT will make it right with their customer service.

I just got two black suits and they were fine except short on the sleeves.
This is probably my fault as I have Castaway biceps on Dr Mego bodies so the shoulders are a bit bigger.
If I had know about Dr Mego when I bought the Space 1999 set and teh whole vintage MEGO line I wouldnt have dropped them like Hot potatoes because of the body quality.
I do appricate the Fat torso. I can restring it with better arms.
But I am looking forward to trying the Teen and Child size bodies.

    Thanks Dave!
@artskull--I actually did write to them the same night they arrived--and they got back to me within an hour, on a Saturday night--which is very impressive. However, their solution was to send them another $5 and they'd pay for shipping. I'd rather put that $5 towards a Dr. M body since the quality is just that much better than the CTVT ones which is unfortunate--I guess you get what you pay for.

I hear ya and I'm with ya. I guess I've been lucky with what I've ordered from CTVT and Doc Mego. I've found with everything in life it boils down to speed, cost and quality. Pick two, 'cause you never get all three.
