They switched from banana to 'vanilla' cream due to a 'banana shortage' during WW II ....sounds ridiculous, but its true!

I'd like to try one of these...seeing as how I wasnt around pre-WW II to try the originals.

Don't they put the Banana out like once a year? Kind of like a limited edition deal. Personally I do not care for the Banana. I am more of a plain type of guy. I like the original the best.

It may very well be. The original to me as I have known it though is the regular Twinkie.
