Doubt Hasbro would bite. Last G.I. Joe they did in the 8" range was Sigma Six.

I would love to see it, as as long as they stick with the original looks. However I agree with jwyblejr. Hasbro is likely to stay clear of the 8 inch scale on these. It is possible they eventually get sucked into the 8" Mego craze at some point ......I just doubt they will with g.I.joe. whenever they have tried anything non 3.75" or 12" it always tends to fail. I don't see them taking the chance again.

I would LOVE to see this. More along the lines of the Adventure Team, though. Truth be told, back in the day, I was way more into 12" GI Joe Adventure Team. Now, those style figures in my new favorite scale like a mego, man, it would be fantastic!

  5. I don't think it would happen, but it would be pretty spectacular if it did. G.I. Joe: RAH was a very colorful line and that would scale up well to Mego. Though, they were also very detailed and accessory-heavy, so Hasbro would have to take an appropriately modern approach. Not too modern, though: Sideshow's 12" line leaves me cold because they seem to be taking a more "real world" military approach to it, and I think that takes away some of the fun.

But I would love to see 8-inch versions of Bazooka, Leatherneck, Dial Tone, Cobra Commander, Viper trooper and the Crimson Guard. Or a Cobra B.A.T. with holographic chest plate!

The sideshow "realism "line leaves me cold too. Sad 12" jos are done by someoen OTHER than Hasbro.

I was just considering doing custom head shrinks of the 12" line and enlargements of the 3 3/4 line.
Just wanted to see if others were interested.

How cool would it be to have an 8" Zartan that turns blue in the sun?

I've slowly been customizing the original 13 Joes, and a few from the second and third series, into 12-inch figures.
“As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama
