Heat is your friend... Heat them up in water, and then take 'em out give 'em a shake and go right on the feet. Have your figure prepped. I stretch the edge of the costume leg over the toe of the foot and give it a slight dip in the water. After the boot is on, you can slowly pull the costume leg up as desired...

      thanks Dave

I've been using heat - my fingers are blistered and cracked from the hairdryer. I was avoiding getting the costume wet as I did not want any color issues or running.
I have even stitched up a thread stirrup to keep the pants leg in place.

I am just about ready to trim the foot and ankle ala GI Joe.

The first boot was difficult, but it went on with some coaxing and the suit stayed smooth. This guy, however..... wow.

I had forgotten all about the joys of that particular process. Sorry you're suffering, I got really frustrated too.

Persistence and patience. They look great once they're on, however.

So - while I am at it - Are the wrist pins the same from CAW to T2 mego? I just shot one of those across the room switching out the hands on this dude as well.

I have plenty of t2 parts, but if it is a different size, I will have to get inventive.

              holy crow

OK - I finally got the dang thing on. I ended up heating it and slowly stretching the ankle out with a pen that had a tapered end. After the ankle was stretched a bit, I switched it over to the foot and managed to squeeze it on.

making me remember my battles with Bulletman. Come to think of it, if they come in red, I know where to get the boots for a Bulletman custom.

                T2 pin should work fine

                  thanks again David,

If you ever decide to change fields, you may be onto something with weponry and ordinance. The coupling of those little bullet shaped wrist pins and the flexible rubbery material the wrists are made from got that little sucker at least fifteen feet.

I was moving the hand over with the pin still in, pulled the whole thing out to readjust the sleeve and get it out of the way and 'zing', no more wrist pin. I heard it hit the far wall of the room and I am sure I will never see that bit of vacuum cleaner food again.

but now I have my Grey and my Purple Phantoms facing off.
I am looking forward to the Captain Action version, but hoping I do not have to dress him.

I never got mine on. My Phantom's wear cut down DM Klingon boots.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

those muscle bodies that Boss used to make; yea, I got a pair of CAW toys boot on that! Took a little extra softening in the boiling water, but worked pretty neat.

I struggled 'till I was in tears on my custom black panther (boots AND gloves). My wife does it better. I used red caw boots on my FC scale supergirl. SWEET!
