I got a Hugo (Man of 1000 Faces) from Dave McC!

I never had one as a kid, (never wanted one), but now I can truly appreciate this. It does have a few missing pieces, but not so many that it isn't playable. Now all I need is a glue stick. Will standard ones work?

Did any of you own Hugo? Didja scare you kid brothers and sisters w/ it? Did you make up any crazy sci-fi adventures w/ him?

I FINALLY got one about 18 months ago, I always wanted one when I was a kid. He is missing some pieces, but I am stoked nevertheless.

Instead of being afraid of him, my youngest (just turned 3 year old) nephew loves him, and always pulls him out to play when he comes over.

I am a third of the way through making a custom Mego sized one too.

Congrats, I still gotta get a new one someday. I got one for my birthday from my grandparents when I was a kid (long gone now though). It scared the crap out of my younger cousin though, and we totally took advantage of that whenever he came to visit (kids are so cruel

). He laughs about it now, but still admits that it's a darn scary toy, but now he wants one in spite of that! (he's a toy collector too)

My older brother feels the same way. He doesn't look scary to me. He kinda looks like Yul Brynner from Westworld.

BTW...in case any of you acquire a Hugo, Elmer's All Purpose glue stick (not the school glue), will work w/ the Hugo disguises. It's washable and won't damage Hugo's head or parts. I had a good time making him up and taking snaps. I'll post them later.

There's an old horror movie with a dummie and Hugo reminds me of that dummie i think the movie was called Magic or something
