Quick poll. Who is seeing the Green Hornet in theaters this weekend?

Okay the weekend is approaching. And despite the early negative buzz on the Green Hornet, the Sony hype machine is working overtime to make people BELIEVE this film is "all that". I'm not buying it. It still looks like a bad treatment for a character that deserved a lot better. Anyone's opinion changed since Sony started their hype campaign or is this still a wait-for-video release? I'll save my money and spend a buck to see "Kato-vision" this spring in the comforts of my own home.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

Not worth the visit to a theater for this flick, maybe an eventual $1 dvd rental, but what a missed opportunity this was. I'd prefer to see the character functioning as a pulp hero in a period peice. For my money, in this economy or otherwise, a movie has to be a real gem--and I usually reserve that sort of thing for family movies--to bother with a movie house.

I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm not 100% sold on going, but I may.

Since I never saw the series as a kid, I only have my dad's old radio broadcasts, the NOW comic series, and the guest spot on Batman to inform me on the Hornet. So I may not be as riled by the treatment as die-hard fans.
