Ithe Monster Hero
The headsculpt is very nice, but Mego it isn't. I guess "GAH Knockoff Prototype" wouldn't sound as impressive.
From the auction text:
This figure was made as a nod to the classic vintage Greatest American Hero prototype figure out there in collector land. They were licensed through Cannell Productions exclusively for the FX Show, and completely sold out at the show!!! This particular set includes the ultra-rare staff-only Secret Identity Ralph figure as well. The figures' cards are both signed by the sculptor (me!), and the secret identity Ralph is hand signed by William Katt as well. It was signed in front of me at the FX Show by Mr. Katt in person.
Is a repro not the prototype
Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?
hm......
foolish am I,
then why would he ask for $2500? Oh well, I really thought I had found a holy grail, but it looks like all I found out was I can't read as good as I thought![]()
Ithe Monster Hero
if he didnt ask for an outragous amount no one would even think for a second it was a mego protype. he is hoping someone will hit the buy it now and not see it saying it was the fx exclusive. mike
Dude is overestimating the coolness factor of having a resin hand painted (by the artist) version of this head. It's a cool figure, but $2500 for the original resin head?
Heck, I better save up all my original James Brady hand painted casts. If those get made by Diamond and are worth 2500 each, I'll be coming into some serious cash.![]()
It's actually a prototype of a copy of a prototype....
I'm not sure but I believe this creates some sort of ripple in the toy space time continuum, which could very well cause the piece to cease to exist in this reality as we know it.
