Thanks for sharing the pics man. How much were those Jumbos going for? Too bad about the prices in HK, I have to admit overall prices for vintage in Japan isn't as bad as you might think.

Hope you are having a great trip overall, and can hopefully luck into some toy deals somewhere!

Kamen Rider is everywhere, as is Ultramar. Wish you guys were here to check out some of this stuff with me, but navigating the crowds is nuts (much more aggressive than Japan).

Tokyo over the Christmas holidays is a long shot, but let's cross our fingers.

Jumbos were going for maybe at least 30% higher than Tokyo? Combination of the bad exchange rate right now and slighter higher prices, but I'd also chalk that up to crazy high rent for these tiny shops? Looks like they newly renovated the Wan Chai building this vintage store was in, and they have moved to a smaller but newer space within the same building next door to Oriental 188 (Which also houses a McDonalds and Pacific Coffee).

              Crossing fingers and toes!

I was curious about the exchange rate so I checked, the US dollar vs HK dollar wasn't much different compared to when I was there in '97. Is it the Canadian dollar, or do you just recall much better exchange rates when you were last there compared to me?

HK dollar is currently around $5.5 per Canadian dollar. In the past I remember it being $7 HKD per Canadian? I guess I'm feeling like I've been getting much better bang for Tokyo yen in the past couple of years than either USD or currently HKD? I bought Leopardon because he's just a hair over what I would have paid for him in Tokyo.

$3000 HKD for the set of three guys IIRC? an exclusive from some Hong Kong Convention.

it appears In's Point in Mong Kok, Kowloon side, is THE place for vintage now. I was really blown away by what they had. I'd say it's comparable to Tokyo's Nakano Broadway in terms of the kind of stuff you find there. I'll be posting more photos when I have another spare moment.

Yeah, I'm getting a Mandarake vibe from some of the pics (which make up half of the stores in the Broadway mall). How are the prices in comparison?

Nice stuff here, I've always had my eye on that Superman toy that's in the first pic, he's kind of unique looking.

And congrats again on the Leopardon Chogokin, I know you've really been wanting one. Looking forward to seeing him in person!
