Deep down I think most people agree with you Rob .... But most people also like Greg, so we choose to just not notice it or make an issue out of it.
That probably sums it for a lot of people here including me.

Greg is an honest person and isnt lying about anything...good salesman. His efforts are to bring the buyer into his auction. That's the way I see it.

I'm not disagreeing with you Rob and I think you make a valid point. Its just that he has about 15 auctions running at the moment with 5 days to go. I just think anyone who wants to convey this concern could start by making it privately and then if the response is not to their satisfaction, then consider making it public. Also ebay is a different animal these days. Buyer is king, if a buyer is not satisfied, they can neg the s**t out of you.
Anyone who doesn't read an auction description in its entirety is an idiot....anyone who buys something based on the title of the auction only is a bigger idiot. I've had many good dealings with Greg both as a buyer and seller. The way he positions his Mego auctions is old news....
I've said this at some point before when this subject arose: I think the way Greg titles his auctions is a form of bait and switch. I don't know how many times he's sucked me into looking at one of his figures based on the title and thumbnail, only for me to disappointedly read on and find that the figure isn't a minty all-original figure, but rather a repro'ed out example. I've met Greg, and I like Greg, but I find his auctions irritating. There's no way to differentiate between when he's selling something all original or not without opening each one of his auctions and reading the entire description. I can wash a batsuit in Woolite and call Dr. Mego; those auctions are a waste of my time. I am interested sometimes in clean, original figures that are on my short wantlist, but I'll probably not get them from Greg as I skip his auctions altogether now. Stand-up guy, great seller, but his way doesn't work for me.
People have just as much a right to not agree with his strategy as those who are fine with it. This doesn't need to digress into name-calling.
I couldn't bring myself to label my stuff in the same way, it'd make me nervous and neurotic with worry. But that's me, I don't think he's doing anything wrong. It's hard to argue with success.
Greg has 100% positive rating. For someone who's been doing business this way for such a long time I think that says something in his favor, and in the favor of the intelligence of the buyers who apparently CAN read descriptions and make their own judgements.
If it was truly a deceptive and underhanded tactic he'd have more complaints than that by now. Some people can't even sell a perfectly minty Dorothy without going to Federal Court!
I don't disagree with anything you're saying. I know Greg reads these threads, and I can only assume that the percentage of us who get irritated are acceptable as part of a very successful strategy. I just wish his titles were more accurate. He takes great pics, packs well, ships fast. I just don't have time to dissect each of his auctions anymore.
I went back and reread everything twice just to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything. No crime here at all. The heading says 100% complete (which it is). His very first sentence says it's an original Mego body and then names off the repros. It's absolutely upfront and honest. I think he's completely reputable and there is not even a suggestion of deceit. As a matter of fact, making it an issue here is a bigger deal since the innuendo is falsely accusing him of something he clearly isn't doing.

It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.
You know - looking back - I cannot personally think of one time where I read a description from his auction and said, "that sneaky little turd - that is not right". I always come away from reading one of his auction description knowing EXACTLY what I will get IF I choose to bid on his auction.
I can see how some may not like the syntax of his descriptions or the choice of wording that he uses, but I've never once felt like Greg was being deceptive in anything he put on ebay.
And...that 100% satisfaction rating is very hard to argue. You would think someone - SOMEONE - somewhere would neg him if he were being deceptive or shady.
