Cool...though the Navy one has never been a fave of mine.

The Aussie Marine is the funniest part of the commericals. Listening to some kid
from Long Island say that he wants to be an Aussie Marine cracks me up.

Unfortunately a lot of the AJ outfits were ill-conceived. It was cool that LJN
made SWAT, Emergency, and the Rookies so you could get some cops to
try to bring in Spider-Man for questioning after Gwen's Stacy death.

LOL I think most were based on GIJOE ,
the army used the the the waist jacket of WWII, and the safari is a copy of the aussie Jungle fighter.British WWII Canteens, the crash crew outfit.
They could came up with better outfits and better equipment ,the copter pack? water scooter that sank!,
I think AJ would of been a 70's hit if handled better

    I kind've agree; except:

-when you see how many were sold, I think it WAS a hit.
-I think the technological limits of the day held them back; especially considering the smaller size from GI Joe. Case in point: I made a cast of the beardless head, and painted properly he looks pretty good, but I don't think the old paper masks could have applied the fine details; hence the heavy mascara-looking lashes and blank eyes.

Agreed, i blame the head sculpt. If they had gone with a more heroic looking face, it might have had more success.

Doc I'd love to see what you could do with Emergency (or genercially any LA County Fireman of the 70's if the license was tricky) You could even market them with the LA county fire museum

I like the military outfits. Its the sports outfits that crack me. The basesball kit looks like it was modeled after Honus Wagner's uniform! They should have gone with the more subtle feel of what baseball players in the 70's-

    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.
