Jungle Chicks?

What's with all of the jungle chicks lately? Wasn't about a year or so ago that Frank Cho revived Shanna the She-Devil in a mini-series for Marvel? A few month ago an independent company released a "0" issue of Sheena of the Jungle and supposedly a regular series is to follow. Now I see in the newest Previews that Frank Cho is doing a series called "Jungle Girl" for another independent company and she looks suspiciously like Cho's version of Shanna.
Was there some sort of problem between Cho and Marvel with the Shanna mini and that's why he's doing "Jungle Girl" elsewhere? Just seems like a lot of repitition to me, that's all. Nothing against scantily clad women in animal skin bikini tops and thongs but how about a decent ongoing Tarzan comic series again? If the market can support 3 versions of pretty much the same thing why no love for the original Lord of the Jungle?

I would say that it plays to the masses!!! I would also credit Bill Black for keeping it alive for many years over in AC COmics!!!
