Accessories Torches! You can't be Lost without a torch!

Check out the video to get the full lighting effect:

    Torchlight for Lost action figures

I've been dreaming of this one for awhile, I finally got some time to try it. I took apart a cheap votive flickering LED candle for it's flame dome, bulb and switch. I replaced the coin sized battery with 3 1.4v hearing aid batteries so they could be stacked in a plastic tube I found. The scale may be a bit off, it's a thick torch, but that's about as small as it gets with those batteries. I'll keep experimenting with it, and also find a way to make it look more like a tree branch.

    I dig the switch especially...

I tried an earlier version that was a thinner torch (a drilled out tree stick) but it meant having the batteries outside the torch attached with wires with the idea that you could hide the battery pack in a backpack or sidebag.

That looks fantastic, great seeing it in action as well.
As far as too thick a tree branch goes I think the solution is in your pics. In stead of black tape get some brown tape and simply loose the tube. Also, the tape will look less smooth than tube, hence more like a tree branch. Or you could shape the winded up tape a bit more like a branch

I definitely thought of that, I'll do a version and post it. I got very enamored with the plastic tube, but it feels a bit ridiculous this morning.

The tube has to go, never ever have I seen a branch that smooth
Or maybe you could glue some fake moss on it to loose some of that smoothness and make it look more like a branch and sculpt a branch stump and fix it to that tube

I knew I should have put this in work in progress...

Here's a quickie tape job. I'm wondering about finding a paper backed tape that would take paint easily. The vinyl is cheesey and I'd have to prime it to paint it I think. I want to design this hack so the average person can do it easily.

Pretty much, yeah. The CTVT Al Bundy outfit fits the bill just fine.

Yeah, that looks a lot better. Glue on some moss and you've got yourself a Megoscaled tree branch
