Question Shogun Warriors Experts - HELP!

I am trying to identify these Shogun Warrior Gaiking posters from Japan.
I'm thinking 70's? Could be Movie, Cartoon or toys, really don't know. Haven't found anything on the internet that looks like them. All of the text is Japanese and they have a small stamp on the reverse: Japan.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

  2. I wish that I could help you. Those posters are gorgeous.

What is that monster/spacecraft thing? It shares Gaiking's chest face - does it come 'out' of him??

    VERY cool...

Nice posters! Wish I knew more, but all I know is that the second one is the EXACT same painting that (partially) appears on the Popy Gaiking Jumbo Machinder box.

It's possible that the first painting was used on the Daikumaryu Jumbo Machinder box, but pics of Jumbo boxes are devilishly hard to find, even on the internet. I just did a search for the box and came up empty.

That's Daikumaryu. In the anime, Gaiking transforms to become his head. The Gaiking Jumbo toy can do a partial transformation, you can remove his arms and replace them with big horns, but his legs don't come off so that kind of ruins the effect.

  4. I have a copy of the bottom one in poster form, it came in an issue of Fangoria of all things back in the day.
