This is all Ricks' fault...not Shane's.
If this was happening in real life...and I was in that situation...I'd be Shane for sure...

BTW...while some of the characters do get on my nerves (mainly Lori and Dale, and to a lesser extent, Rick)...I'm kinda beginning to care about them...a little bit...but this last episode also...in a weird way...made me sort of feel sorry for the Walkers as well...they were humanized...something that has been lacking in almost every zombie-themed movie...pretty good writing I must say.
The only people I actually like is the Asian guy and the Green Mile guy.
The others I couldn't care less about.

you know I had not even realized Dale was form the Green Mile...LOL
i think the writing on the show is fantastic and you can really relate to the characters...or at least some of them
and you know if they can make you feel bad for the zombie they are doing a hell of a job. i think they aimed to "humanize" the zombies in this episode in order to remind us that they were once people, loved ones, etc.
On the Talking Dead they said that they specifically tried to NOT make the barn walkers overly gored up so the human factor would show more...and it makes sense that they wouldn't all be blood covered, if Herschel & clan put them in the barn before they could attack anyone else. They also mentioned that they had Sophia look fairly clean from the front, but from behind you could see the bite & blood down her neck & back, again to emphasise her humanity.
This event should send Carol down the path of self destruction. Rumor has it another main cast member will bite it (pun intended) before the end of the season. Supposedly one of the cast asked to be let out of the show when Frank Darabont left, but changed their mind and decided to stay. But it was already decided they would be killed off. I'd guess one of the regulars from darabont's films, which would be Dale, Carol, or Andrea. I'm saying Carol. The others are a bit more involved in the series, even if REALLY annoying.
That's Dale...and him and Rick's wife are my absolute least favorite characters...I want them both dead...lol.
Having said that...Dale works as a character...the crusty judgmental one...and Rick's wife...Lori...is second billed...so I doubt she's going...unless it's the very last episode of the series...or something like that.
