    ergonomic keyboard advice

So i spilled some coffee on my old keyboard and replaced it with a funky ergonomic kind.

I use my computer a good deal for typing and I'm really struggling with this. I'm bothered at how much of a hump this is for me. Is this something anybody else has dealt with? Do you get over it or should I just take it back to the store?

    My advice? Take it back.

Take that advice however you'd like... but lemme give ya a bit more detail
    before you decide....

I ruined my old keyboard with a liquid as well.

Like you, I also bought a new ergonomic keyboard...spent 60 bucks on it too.
I hated using it. It was so unfamilliar to type on....a few months later I spilled
the smallest amt. of ANOTHER liquid on THAT keboard and it broke. but that
    was a blessing.

I went to STAPLES, bought a 15 dollar "logitech" keyboard and couldn't be
happier.... it's a meat & potatoes, familliar feeling keyboard arrangement...
    and supposedly it's "spill-free".

Not only would I advise you to get this 15 dollar Logitech keyboard (or
something like it), but I'd be tempted to suggest to you to buy 5 of 'em
so you have enough decent regular keyboards to last you the rest of your
life no matter how you ruin any of 'em.

MAN...what a mistake it was to buy that ergonomic keyboard (for me anyway).
When I .... how do you say (?) .... think of my mindframe on this spaceplane, I'm Skywalker with my X-Wing like I was when I was a kid.

    Take it back

If you're not comfortable with it and you use it it might create all kinds of nasty problems for you

Oh, I hate those keyboards. One time my keyboard at work broke and they tried replacing it with one of those ergonomic ones. I gave it a try for a few days, thinking I might get used to it. I hated it, many of the keys weren't in the places I was used to, it was like I had to relearn touch typing. Maybe if I gave it enough time I would have gotten used to it, but I didn't have the luxury of time because it was just slowing me down at work. So I complained and got a new normal keyboard.

Yeah, I tired one once and couldn't get used to it. Ditch it

i'm not liking the ratio of "couldn't get used to it" stories.
