GO APE! Gorilla Soldier custom
This is a figure I've always wanted to do. A gorilla based on the famous "Go Ape!" poster artwork. The image on the poster is actually generated from a photograph of an extra, wearing of all things, a background gorilla mask. I'm not sure if the original photograph was tweaked in the printing process or if the mask was actually painted this way, but it always seemed to me that he always looked more of a purple/blue color, instead of brown.
Anyway, it's always been one of my favorite images of POTA and just of the 70's in general, so of course I had to paint him to match the poster, and the Toyroom box (which I think is brilliant) had to have it on there as well. I've made a handful, so anyone who would like to get one, just PM me.
