** EVEN MORE PICS ON PAGES 7 **
Now that the baby can arrive any day now, I can show you what we've done to the babyroom. Batman 66 crazy as I am I did the entire room in this theme.
And yes, I know I need to clean the lense of my camera. Didn't notice it till after I downloaded the pics.
One of the walls shows Gotham City with the Batsignal. You'll notice that the buildings on the right are a darker shade of black than the rest. That's because they were painted in chalk board paint, so the boy will be able to write and draw on them later. The other buildings have been painted with magnetic paint.
For good fun I posed my mannequins in front of them.
Opposite of this wall is a window. My girlfriend made Batman 66 Gotham City curtains.
The light in his room isn't really Batman 66, but it's from the same era and the "Pow" is typical for the show.
Next up is the changing table, again with Gotham City. It was originally light brown, like most of the furniture you find at Ikea. Gave it a white coat first and then painted it black and added Gotham City.
Same goes for his bed. As with the changing table Gotham City has been painted on both sides.
And finally Dafne made him a play blanket. This thing is huge, 5' by 5'. One side has Batman and Robin from the opening credits on it with the Batlogo.
On the other side is Gotham City with the Batmobile from the opening credits added to it. The Batmobile is also padded to give it a little more dimension.
Dafne has made something else in the Batman 6 theme, but she kept that a secret. I won't get to see it till the baby's born.
And she's gonna do something else too, but more on that when it's finished.
