The Age of DC TV Heroes in the works

    Hi All,
Just want to post my next and ambitious CustoMego project idea.
When I'm done with the Darth Vader figure,I will take a break on the SW figures and start on this.
I got the idea from the art of my fave comic book artist Alex Ross.
The cover of "Age of TV Heroes" book by George Khoury and Jason Hofius, from Two Morrows Publishing.
I was organizing my bookcase a month ago and got a hold of this book again and which inspires me to do this project.
I also got request from friends and members in the MEGO community.
I know figures had been made in the past and in custom works also,I just want to do my own retro style version,It's like MEGO look of the future which has a blast from the past. With more detailed touches, specially the head sculpts.
I've finished the card art I intend to use and here it is and my plans for this project.
    Alex Ross book cover art;

    1) My Idea for Superman.
    George Reeves with two variants,colored suit/figure and a limited edition(as I've called it) is a black,gray finish(like BBP's Twilight Zone figures).
Also since the head sculpt I'm doing can be use as for a Clark Kent figure,I will do a black/gray version of it too.

    2) My Idea for Batman.
Adam West as Batman and might do a Robin (Burt Ward).
    A Batarang accessory for Batman.

    3) My Idea for Wonder Woman.
    Another babe figure.
    Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman.
I'm thinking of doing a rooted hair on resin or a fully sculpted hair,I'll try to experiment which will come out better.
Will go for the costume she used on the CBS series.

    4) My Idea for Captain Marvel.
    Jackson Bostwick as Captain Marvel.

    5) Here are the card art that I've done for series 1,basically just the same, except for the figure names of course.

This is my homage to the TV HEROES back then.
After all being called "THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON" ,I should do these custom figures ,right?
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS CRAZY IDEA OF MINE?

Very nice idea. Good luck with it. Just alittle 411: The correct color for George Reeves B/W uniform is gray for blue, brown for red, and white for yellow. I've made several over the years.

I know George Reeves B/W uniform is a different color in the studio where they shoot the TV series to give more definition on a B/W TV screen.
These are some photos of it:

I just want to do a version of a B/W color scheme(same as when they appear on TV way back then as I've mentioned like the Twilight Zone figures of BBP.
Also Thank you for bringing this up that I might do a version of this with this color way.

You need to get an image of Bostwick for the card or change the name. That's John Davey as Captain Marvel and not Bostwick you are using. Two totally different fellas who played him in SHAZAM.

    Yes,I've noticed the error.
I was in a friends house while doing the card art and they are goofing around me.
I've finished the series 2 card art that I intend to do a John Davey-Captain Marvel which got mixed up with the first card art and will post today.
    Thanks for noticing it.

The Age of DC TV heroes SERIES 2 card art

    Hi All,
Here is the series 2 card art and some references I got for the clothing and accessory details.
    Characters are:
    1) Burt Ward as Robin.

    2) George Reeves (again ! ) as Clark Kent.
    B/W version

    3) Lynda Carter (yeah,I know. again ) as Diana Prince.
A friend of mine will help me do the military outfit for this.

    4) Yvonne Craig ( Oh,yes! ) as Batgirl.

    5) John Davey as Captain Marvel.

Here as references of the characters/accessory (batman's utility belt used by Adam West in the TV series,Yvonne Craig as batgirl,a full body color of George Reeves as Superman).

    What do you think?
Any comments and suggestions are welcome (sculpting, clothing texture, accessory, painting) for the figure's overall look.
    Thank You.
