    Hulk in Egypt

I just got back from cruising down the Nile and it was pretty amazing. The obvious antiquity, the pyramids, the temples, etc. were just plain awesome. Also, walking the streets of some of the towns along the river and Cairo was quite an experience- quite an assault on the senses!

A big thanks to Derek (Flynne) for quickly getting me a Hulk for the trip (and to everyone else who offered). I guess I could have taken Isis or a Mego Mummy, but the green guy has made all the other trips so it seemed appropriate that he go again. Clearly I have some focal length issues, but, hey, we all can't take pictures like Benjamin Here are a few pics-

    The classic opener-

    What you look at?!?!?

    Hulk can't read funny pictures?!?!?

If can't beat funny pictures, Hulk join.

Hulk at the Temple of Karnak in Luxor.

A visit to the Valley of the Kings

Wonder Twin powers not work for Hulk. That's because that's not Jayna, thats Horus, the god of the sky outside his temple in Edfu.

Wow! They are fantastic shots, great post!

Those two of Hulk with the hieroglyphs (Scratching his head and then joining) are instant classics. I'm sure they will all re-appear here and elsewhere for years to come :-)

      Thanks for the laugh!

Thanks for sharing these, Bill. Seeing a familiar Hulk figure in a setting that has never seemed completely real does seem surreal.

You rock Bill! You've embraced the whole concept of Traveling Hulk and have taken it literally to new heights. I believe this is Hulk's first visit to Africa as well, so this is a biggie!

Hulk will be making his third trip to Hawaii soon to see two new islands. He's really racking up the frequent flyer miles!

Man, those are great! I really like the one at the Temple of Karnak. That almost looks like a shot from a good Hulk movie!

Did you get strange looks from the other tourists when you were posin' with old Greenskin?

I definitely get some looks, but it almost always ends up with a really cool meeting, too. In Barcelona, I ended up hanging out with a bunch of Germans who loved the whole thing. They took some shots of Hulk and then some of them with Hulk. The language barrier was a little more difficult this time around, but the Hulk's exposure is pretty much world wide at this point. He was instantly recognized in Europe, of course, but in Egypt and India some people did not know who he was.

I really should also thank Paul for inspiring this. Its really a lot of fun and I always meet soem cool people as a result.

Great shots. Spidey may be too sarcastic to travel abroad. Hulk was a good choice.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Dude! My Hulk just took on the Sphinx! That's awesome, Bill. Thanks for the photos as they provided me such much needed laughs in the middle of some awful L.A. meetings I'm stuck in this week.
