Bat Anyone from CTVT ever on here?

Do any of the owners of Classic TV Toys ever visit this forum?

In general, they used liasons in the forms of the three guys who became CTVT dealers. It was probably for the better as some folks here had some vocal quality issues and the owners of CTVT IIRC, weren't big fans of internet forums.

    Bat

With the exception of a few cracked hands
    (which CTVT immediately replaced),
I kind of like the Classic TV Toys' bodies.
They hold a pose much better than Mattel, and are a lot tighter too.
For the price, they are perfect for the Megos that I am creating for my kids to play with.
Meanwhile my Megos, in my collection, are all original bodies.
I also repair some of the original Mego bodies and sell them on eBay.
I don't think the CTVT bodies are a bad as I was originally led to believe.

CTVT bodies went through a lot of changes! At first they were way worse than what you got. I have some of the originals still breaking in the packages.

I have found that when they dont arrive already broken,if you dont touch them, breath too hard around them or look at them funny they wont break.
Maybe they got better,I wouldnt know. I havent bought any of the new stock.

CTVT is good for one thing and one thing only...outfits and accessories. I have ordered everything from hands to bodies and they crumble no matter how many are replaced. One time I even got an extra body with a black one I ordered...they both broke immediately. I guess that in itself was essentially them saying "We know it's going to break and you will call so...HERE." I did have one negative service issue with them. I ordered two pair of black gloved hands. One of the hands broke right away so when I went to the spare I had two right hands. When I called they wanted me to send them back the hands FIRST! Please... Not worth it so I quit ordering after that.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

I must be an exception to the rule. I have had really great luck with CTVT for the most part. I have bought a lot from them in the past just to make some kit bash customs.

Yeah, I have had a couple of break in the past, but there was always extras thrown in before hand so I do not get upset one bit. Especially for the price I was paying. You definitely get what you pay for no doubt. I am a firm believer in that.

I contacted Steve before and he replied rather promptly. He may not be much for words, but he did reply promptly none the less and I for one appreciate that fact.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
