    Hmmmm....

Snagged a DVD of "Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster," a definite contender for worst movie ever. BUT; the disk came with a booklet, written by the director where he describes making the film, how bad it is, and how it just won't die. The booklet is very funny, and worth getting the disk for. (IF you like the movie. If not.... well....) Best part: he talks about a filmmaking class he taught, and used this film as an example of what NOT to do. Two guys in the back complained, since this was their favourite movie.

I love Frankenstein meets the Space Monster, it's thoroughly entertaining.

I picked up "Ed Wood" on DVD finally, one of my favourite movies of all time.

Wow, I haven't seen Ed Wood in ages. I know more about Lugosi now than then. It'd be interesting to see how many liberties they took with his character. Depp and Burton together is always a good combo (well, except for that new Willy Wonka. It was kind of unnecessary).

I wouldn't say the new Wonka was horrible, but there's no way you could beat the original, that's for sure. I thought the remake was entertaining, you just can't go wrong with Burton and Depp together

It's not horrible, but they didn't change much, and what they did wasn't for the better. Making Wonk a Michael Jackson-like character was an odd choice, and his "secret origin" as kind of odd, although it was cool to have Christopher Lee as his dad.

The songs and the Oompa-Loompas flat-out sucked though.

I watched "Return of the Vampire" last night. That was an odd one, being a non-Universal movie that sure felt like one, and there being very little difference between Lugosi's Armand Tesla (the vampire in question) and his Dracula. I noticed he didn't do his signature Dracula hand gestures, so at least he was trying to be different.

I didn't care much for the werewolf in this, but his role in the ending was pretty original I thought.

I just won a DVD on ebay of a movie I haven't seen since I saw it at the theater. I hope it still holds up. I've never seen this on DVD but obviously it is. LOL
                            It's the original House.
