I picked up a copy of "Gods and Monsters" yesterday for $10.00. It's not *exactly* a horror movie, but does feature quite a bit of footage from "Bride of Frankenstein". If you haven't seen it, it's well worth a look.

Yeah, that's a fun film, McKellen's version of Whale was a lot how I imagined he might be.

Shadow of the Vampire is another great movie in a somewhat similar vein.
It is at least worth seeing just to hear John Malkovich call Willem Defoe
        a 'monkey'!

The Orphanage is a great film. Creepy and intriguing without being gorey or uncomfortably violent.

I plan on getting Horror Express with the greats, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.

It also has Telly Savalas (no kidding, he's in it!)

Nice claustrophobic little horror flick; takes place on a train in Russia, before the First World War, scary as all get out.

The special effects are pretty much on the simple side, but the atmosphere is so terrifying, you don't really need 'em.

                              The scariest part?

Where all of the Russian soldiers who were killed are reanimated as mindless zombies, and are looking to kill the good guys, who have taken refuge in the caboose of the train.

All this is happening as the train is diverted to a track that literally goes off of a cliff.

                              Check it out!

                              Truly nightmare inducing stuff!

                              It's great!
