    Tomland's Famous Monsters--"Wave 2"???

Any suggestions on what a second wave of four figs might have included?

I was thinking Medusa & a Zombie, but after that, I'm stumped. Seems to me that they'd have to be characters that are legendary or public-domain.

    Thanks!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM? Tomland 1st wave was Monster inspried(Famous Monsters Of Legend). 2nd series was Star Trek inspired (CREATURES OF OTHER WORLDS) 3rd Wave STAR WARS (STAR RAIDERS) the last 4 Star Raiders figures added were Battlestar Galactica inspired. So how about TV Buck Rogers inspried? Or Land of the Lost? There was a Land of the Lost episode with Medusa. Maybe a Sleestak take off figure? Close Encounters of 3rd kind KO?

Well, they might have continued the re-use policy, and further they might have focused on properties, or they might have gone shotgun.

I have no formal opinion or grand stroke of awesomeness to suggest a direction... but I do think these would fit within the Tomland ouvre:

LOTL Chaka knock off - would feature the SR Flash head and an "inventive" outfit choice. Could possibly be so loud it would sneeze glitter.

I think a generic sleestak b.e.m. reptile man would be fitting (could have re-used it for V if they survived that long).

    Minotaur (or satyr)
    Medusa, sure...
A Gray alien would work - though they would just as likely do a wrinkly ET face in purple.
Zombie I can see, yeah... but probably like I Am Legend, ala Vincent Price (like the Fly - a period they were pulling screen monsters from)
Honestly a lot of the CTVT choices would make sense - Ghost, Grim Reaper, Demon, etc.
A fuscia or other primary colored Genie, with stylish facial hair.
A Fungus monster, and not only because a giant mushroom covered (or shaped?) head would be great, but there's a 19th century literary connection to trace it back to, and c'mon - Morlocks?
A light tan "Winged Beast" would tie into the film The Bat People, and a few other sources, as well as being a nice bargain basement Man Bat...
I could see a hard plastic lower bodied Mermaid doll (probably with a horrible, scaly, fanged and open mouthed face, ala screeching siren).
I'm sure they would have done an interesting glow head hands and feet generic Tron knock-off.
Eventually one hopes they wuld have made a stab at a "Terrible Sea Crature"
using a SR YOG in pale green.
    ...
    And that's all I got.

I'm thinking snowman/yeti could have easily been repurposed as Big Foot/Sasquatch.

This guy ended up in the Tomland Mini Monster series and to my knowledge wasn't an 8" figure.

Good suggestions, and this thread is valuable because I wasn't very familiar with the other Tomland sci-fi lines, or even the monster glow versions...

Since sci-fi was so prevalent at the time, I always thought they should/would have done a line of robots, to go with the aliens line, and the trend of riding on Star Wars coat tails that most small toymakers seemed to have at the time.

    Hmmmm....

The 6 or so characters made for the 3.5" line but not the 8" line.
